This workshop focused on traditional Ashtanga lead primary series as well as the expansion of one’s practice beyond just asana. Scott is a master of metaphor around the breath and the eight limbs being like spindles inside a wheel that hold the practice together and support it smoothly. Missing limbs=missing spokes in the wheel and can compromise one’s journey. I recall him describing his mindfulness around breath even when entering rooms in his everyday life—how the practice has permeated moments well beyond those in a shala or private practice space. He is truly an accomplished and empowering treasure to study under.
